Just yesterday, Huawei confirmed that we will see the Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro in March of next year, right on schedule. Today, we have our first look at some leaked renders for those devices courtesy of reliable leakers @OnLeaks and 91Mobiles.
The first thing we noticed when we saw the renders is how eerily similar they are to the leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S11 family. The rear camera module especially is a dead ringer for the rumored module design of the Galaxy S11.
Check out the renders for yourself below. The two images on the top are the Huawei P40 renders, and the two on the bottom are of the Huawei P40 Pro. The images are black-on-black because certain details of the devices are unknown at the moment.
It’s a little hard to tell, but the Huawei P40 appears to have a flat display panel. The number of camera lenses on the back is rumored to be four, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet and the renders purposely leave that detail very vague.
As for the Huawei P40 Pro, it has a curved display and is expected to house five camera lenses on the back. Once again, though, this detail isn’t affirmed with these renders.

There’s no confirmation yet on whether the P40 line will feature notches or punch-hole cutout displays. However, the renders do appear to confirm that there won’t be pop-up selfie cameras here, so a notch or a cutout is likely.
Notably, neither device has a headphone jack. We didn’t expect the Pro variant to have one, but the vanilla variant of the P30 series featured the much-loved legacy port. It seems that Huawei is fully abandoning the 3.5mm jack going forward.
