The Xperia Z4 features a similar OmniBalance design as previous high-end offerings in the Xperia Z series, with the device boasting upgraded hardware in the form of a Snapdragon 810 SoC.
Other specs of the Xperia Z4 include a 5.2-inch full-HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD card slot that can accommodate 128GB memory cards, 20.7MP camera at the back with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor and BIONZ image processor along with a 5.1MP front shooter, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and a 2,930mAh battery. Also included is support for LDAC, Sony's audio technology that promises high-quality audio via Bluetooth. Software-wise, the phone will offer Android 5.0 out of the box.
With a thickness of 6.9mm and weight of 144g, Sony's latest handset is thinner and lighter than theXperia Z3. The sides of the device feature a metal frame, with the most noticeable change design-wise being the exposed micro-USB charging port. The Xperia Z4 will be available in White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green color variants, and is certified IP6X for dust and IPX5/IPX8 for water, allowing it to be submerged in up to 4.92 feet of water for over 30 minutes.
