Gmail’s Smart Compose feature now suggestions subject lines

Gmail Smart Compose Suggested Subject Line Google

Google introduced Smart Compose for Gmail last year at I/O 2018. Since then, the search giant has rolled out its autocomplete feature to almost every platform. Now, Google is adding Smart Compose to Gmail’s subject line.

Rolling out starting today, Gmail will begin suggesting subject lines after you’ve written out an email. As you can see from the image, once Smart Compose identifies the subject matter in the text field, it will then suggest an accompanying subject.

Here’s why Google thinks this will be useful:

Since we announced Gmail Smart Compose in G Suite last year, we’ve seen how Smart Compose suggestions can cut down on the effort it takes for you to write emails and replies. With subject suggestions, Smart Compose can now help you compose your subject line as well.

This addition comes to Gmail following the addition of email scheduling last week. These changes are likely coming to fruition to make the service more enticing to those who used Inbox and other email clients.
