The best new movie trailers and TV teasers for streaming services

Run

This week we got a new movie trailer for Hulu’s upcoming Sarah Paulson thriller — Run. The previous teaser didn’t reveal much, but this new trailer reminds us of the 2018 HBO miniseries Sharp Objects. It makes it quite clear that the plot of the movie is centered on a woman suffering from the Munchausen by proxy syndrome. We see Paulson in the role of a controlling mother and caregiver to her wheelchair-bound daughter (Kiera Allen). It’s when the teen discovers that her mother is making her sick intentionally that she starts plotting her difficult escape.

The Prom

Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman in a Netflix musical, need we say more? Well, if you must, the new movie trailer for The Prom promises a colorful high-school song and dance that also features late-night host James Corden, Kerry Washington, and Andrew Rannells. Produced by Ryan Murphy (Glee, Eat Pray Love), the film is based on a Tony-nominated Broadway musical. Check out the trailer and press the button below to know more.

The Mandalorian (season 2)

Your favorite intergalactic bounty hunter will be back on Disney Plus in just a few short days. Until then, you can watch the second trailer for season 2 of The Mandalorian to get a good idea of what to expect. The new trailer shows us more of Mando’s efforts to return Baby Yoda to his own kind. The first episode of the eight-part season drops on October 30, so mark your calendars and get ready for another adventure.

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

It’s Chadwick Boseman’s last hurrah in this new movie trailer for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. The upcoming Netflix film also stars Academy Award winner Viola Davis. It’s based on August Wilson’s 1982 play about the “Mother of Blues” Ma Rainey (Davis) and her battle of wills with her white manager over the control of her music.

The Flight Attendant

Coming to HBO Max this November, The Flight Attendant is a dark comedy based on a New York Times bestseller by the same name. It features Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) as a flight attendant who falls for a charming passenger (Michiel Huisman) only to find him dead in a hotel room after a night of passion. Did she do it, or was it someone else? Check out the series trailer below.

Mank

A new movie trailer dropped for Gary Oldman’s upcoming Netflix film this week. This time, we see more of Oldman as the alcoholic Citizen Kane screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz. The biopic is set in 1930s Hollywood and is the directorial venture of David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, Mindhunters, House Of Cards). In black and white tones, the trailer is reminiscent of classic Hollywood cinema. Fincher seems to be gunning for an Oscar-worthy title here.
