Not only this, but the new Model S is a whole new beast. Recently, the automaker launched a refreshed variant of Model S which is built on a new performance-focussed chassis. It’s the same platform that was being teased as Plaid for quite a long time.

The electric sedan is currently available in two variants: Long-Range and a high performance oriented Plaid variant, both of which are AWD. However, the Plaid variant is equipped with three motors whereas the Long-Range variant has a dual-motor setup.

Moreover, ES6 is available in three battery options: a 70 kWh, 84 kWh, and a 100 kWh battery pack. The electric cars from Nio are available only for the Chinese market now.

In one of the battery range tests we reported, the official battery range of Hyundai Kona was around 300 miles, which is pretty impressive.

Our Favorite Longest Range Electric Cars

On this list, both Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Kona are among the best and our favorite electric cars. Well, we believe there’s no need to tell you more about Model 3 as most people already know about it. However, if we talk about Hyundai Kona EV, it’s one of the most underrated EVs with an exceptionally long range. Even the car’s ECO mode performs like the Sports mode.

And with its 300 miles of range in regular city and highway driving conditions, Hyundai Kona is an impressive car.

However, if we have to choose one then without any doubt Tesla Model 3 is one of the most value-for-money cars here.

Apart from this, if you have a better budget then go for Tesla Model S as it’s not only the longest-range electric car but an exceptionally high-performance electric car.
